AQA Functional Skills English Level 1 Past Papers

AQA Functional Skills English Level 1 past papers contain two exams: reading and writing. The reading paper is about analysis of sources, and contains an insert of the texts the exam questions pertain to. In the reading paper, you will be asked to state information given in the sources, as well as make inferences, and finally summarise the information in a writing task. The writing paper tests your writing ability, and contains two questions, both requiring long-form responses. In the writing paper, bonus marks are available for correct use of spelling, punctuation and grammar.
