Initial Assessments - Recognition of Prior Learning
The first step of the journey for training providers is to register your learners for our free initial assessment to demonstrate recognition of prior learning and determine what level they are currently working at in maths and English. We are the only service to offer a training provider login with free initial assessments and data reporting tools. You can register as many learners as you wish for no fee. At Pass Functional Skills, we have a flexible service for Training Providers that enables you to have as much or as little input as you like. In most cases, training providers let us look after their entire functional skills provision, including courses and exams; however, our flexible approach enables you to select the services that are right for your business. With many successful Ofsted inspection reports fed back to us, we are confident that we can help you provide the evidence you need to demonstrate the progress your learners are making.

The Pass Functional Skills course has been built using learner and tutor feedback which is why our pass rates are so high. We have built and own the rights to the content and software which enables us to respond to feedback quickly and continually improve. We have maths and English functional skills courses all of which accurately track distance travelled for each learner, making use of our proprietary Current Level logic.
Each course starts with an initial assessment to determine which level a learner should enrol on. Once a learner is enrolled on a course they then complete a subject knowledge assessment to produce an individual learning plan. Learners work through the plan with their Current Level updating in real time.
All of the learner data produced during their course work through is aggregated and analysed to produce a series of reports that can be accessed in the Training Provider login. These reports can be generated for an individual or a cohort of learners showing the progress made in multiple contexts. These reports are extremely useful as evidence to comply with the ESFA funding rules but also for Ofsted inspections where our Training Providers excel in demonstrating the support they are giving learners and the progress that is being made.
ESFA Compliant
Our assessment tools are based on the National Standards for Adult Literacy and Numeracy which is an ESFA requirement to assess the current level of learners. Our advanced initial assessment and diagnostic tests help to determine a learners current level whislt producing an individualised learning plan. All of the data produced can be exported into Excel and PDF documents making it easy to provide the required evidence to the ESFA.
E-Portfolio Integration
We can integrate with the E-Portfolio of your choice, such as OneFile, and many others.
