NOCN Functional Skills Maths Entry Level 1, 2, 3 Past Papers
The NOCN Maths Entry Level assessments contain a non-calculator section (Part A) which is 25% of the overall marks for the assessment and a calculator section (Part B) which is 75% of the overall marks for the assessment. Assessments may be taken on different days to support the needs of learners.
The allocation of time and marks for each level is as follows:
- Entry Level 1:
- Section A – 20 minutes, 5 marks
- Section B – 60 minutes, 15 marks
- Total – 80 minutes, 20 marks
- Pass mark – 15
- Entry Level 2:
- Section A – 30 minutes, 7 marks
- Section B – 60 minutes, 21 marks
- Total – 90 minutes, 28 marks
- Pass mark – 21
- Entry Level 3:
- Section A – 30 minutes, 9 marks
- Section B – 60 minutes, 27 marks
- Total – 90 minutes, 36 marks
- Pass mark – 27

- Using numbers and the number systemÂ
- Measures, shape and space
- Handling information and data
Including all your workings out is very important, to gain as many marks as possible.
