Edexcel Functional Skills Maths Entry Level papers are divided into two parts, Section A, a smaller non-calculator section, and Section B, a larger, more challenging calculator section. Students sitting the Edexcel Maths Entry Level papers require a pen, pencil, ruler, and a rubber, as well as a calculator for Section B. The allocation of time and marks for each level is as follows:
- Entry Level 1:
- Section A – 20 minutes, 5 marks
- Section B – 60 minutes, 15 marks
- Total – 80 minutes, 20 marks
- Pass mark – 15
- Entry Level 2:
- Section A – 25 minutes, 7 marks
- Section B – 65 minutes, 21 marks
- Total – 90 minutes, 28 marks
- Pass mark – 21
- Entry Level 3:
- Section A – 25 minutes, 9 marks
- Section B – 75 minutes, 27 marks
- Total – 100 minutes, 36 marks
- Pass mark – 27
