Functional Skills results take 2-6 working days if you sit your exam online with TQUK, or 6-16 working days with Open Awards. Pass Functional Skills is the fastest way to get them, with results in as little as 2 working days, and your digital certificate follows within 2 working days of passing.

Functional Skills results times by exam board

How long you wait depends on the exam board and how you sit the exam. Times are in working days, so weekends and bank holidays don’t count.

How to get your results as quickly as possible

• Choose online remote invigilation with TQUK. It has the shortest marking time, with results in 2-6 working days.
• Book the next available date. Exams are available as soon as the next day, and slots are open 7 days a week.
• Be ready on the day. Have your photo ID to hand and check your computer, webcam and microphone beforehand, so nothing delays your exam.

Functional Skills English results

Functional Skills English has three parts: reading, writing, and speaking, listening and communicating (SLC). Each part is marked on its own, and you need to pass all three for the full qualification. Reading and writing are usually sat together, and SLC on a different day, so your results may come at different times. Your certificate is issued once you have passed all three parts.

How you get your results and certificate
