- Laptop/PC

Laptop/Desktop Microsoft Windows or Mac. Chromebooks cannot be used for this exam.

You cannot use a tablet, mobile phone or any other device for the exam.

Please make sure your Laptop/PC is in working condition before the exam/Tech test

- Webcam and Microphone

A webcam and microphone. Usually, these are built into your laptop but be purchased cheaply if required.

These need to be working and tested before your tech test.

- Wi-Fi/Internet Speed

Wi-Fi connection, Minimum requirements 1 Mbit Upload, 10Mbit Download.

- Zoom Desktop App

Zoom desktop app needs to be downloaded and installed.

This must be the standard Zoom desktop app (download here)

This MUST NOT BE Zoom rooms

- Exam Location

On the day of the exam, you will need to position yourself in a quiet room suitable for exam conditions to take place. Nobody will be allowed into the room during the exam and you will not be allowed to leave for the duration of the exam. For the Functional skills maths level 2 exam you will be allowed to bring a non-scientific calculator. Please ask for more details if you are unsure.
