Introduction to Functional Skills in Northampton
If you do not have a GCSE Level 4/Grade C/Pass, employers and higher education courses may require you to have the Functional Skills Level 2 qualification. It is a GCSE equivalent qualification and a great tool to enhance your CV. Additionally, this qualification can help advance your employability and improve your subject skills. It differs from the GCSE qualifications in that you can take the exams all year round, unlike GCSE examinations which only occur in May and November. Furthermore, the content list for Functional Skills is significantly less than the GCSE content list. This allows you to manage your revision time effectively and place a greater focus on each topic.
Many learners use the Functional Skills Level 2 qualifications to acquire access to courses such as Teaching, Policing, and Nursing.
