NCFE Functional Skills ICT Level 1 Past Papers
NCFE Functional Skills ICT Level 1 past papers are differ to other exam boards – they take place using NCFE’s online platform, called Surpass Viewer. The contents of the exams are broadly similar, however, with the exam being split into two sections – a shorter one and a longer one. Submission of evidence of completion of questions takes place through the online platform, rather than having to deal with files on the computer directly.
There are 2 hours 30 minutes available for the exam.
Section A – 21 marks – 45 minutes
Section B – 39 marks – 1 hour 45 minutes
There are a total of 60 marks available for this exam.
Candidates will be assessed on these three skills in the exam:
- Using ICT
- Finding and Selecting Information
- Developing, Presenting and Communicating Information
Developing, presenting and communicating information is the most important skill out of the three listed, however a strong basis of knowledge in all three areas is necessary for success.
