NOCN Functional Skills Maths Level 2 Past Papers

NOCN functional skills maths level 2 exams contain two sections, a non-calculator section (Part A), which is 25% of the overall marks and a calculator section, (Part B) which is 75% of the overall marks. Candidates are required to have a pen, pencil, ruler, protractor, pair of compasses and a calculator for part B. The non-calculator section (Part A) consists of more simple questions with fewer marks for each question, compared to the calculator section (Part B), which contains more complex questions, requiring you to break the question down into multiple parts to solve them.

NOCN functional skills maths level 2 papers follow the same specification as most other functional skills exam boards, with all the content contained within the three main topics:

  2. Measures, shape and space
  3. Handling information and data

It is important that you include all your workings and calculations, this enables you to gain method marks when you have used the correct method but have reached the wrong answer. Usually, the pass mark for NOCN functional skills maths level 2 past papers is between 50% and 60%, which is between 32 and 38 marks.
