Flashcards are a great way to revise on the go, whether you have 20 minutes on public transport on your way to work, or 15 minutes at lunchtime, revision cards help with the ‘little and often’ approach to studying that tends to work well when preparing for exams. Quick exercises like splitting the cards into two piles, know and don’t know, helps you to identify which topic areas to revise and focus your time on.

1. Learn all topics from start to finish – Cover the full course using these cards, then support this with some exam paper practice.
2. Snipit revision – If you have a spare 5 or 10 minutes, have a look at a card and cover one topic at a time.
3. Focusing on your weak areas – split up the cards into 2 decks, one containing cards that you struggle with, and the other containing cards that you are confident with.
4. Mix and match – try merging all three ways together, maybe even try revising random cards in a random order.
